Diana Barnett began her association with athletics when her daughter, Elizabeth, joined the Kew Women’s Club for the 1973-1974 season.
Diana registered as an official to support the Club.
Diana went on to become President of the Kew Women’s Club.
When that Club amalgamated with the Camberwell YMCA Men’s Club, Diana continued her association as a Committee member, becoming a Life Member a couple of years down the track.
When the Kew Camberwell Club was adopted by Collingwood Harriers in 2000, Diana immediately joined in and has continued her ‘official duties’ right through to the present.
Diana participated on the Collingwood Committee, firstly as the designated representative of Kew Camberwell and then as a general member until 2012.
Diana and her husband Peter have been regular helpers with the Club’s mid-week catering efforts at the school’s events assigned to the Collingwood.
Diana gained her Grade 1 status as a Track Official in 1992
